The P.Q.O.G. was one of the larger guerrilla units in Central Luzon, organized and commanded by Col. Vicente Umali, prewar governer of Tiaong, Tayabas. The II Corps was the Propeganda Section of the P.Q.O.G. under command of Lt. Col. Benedicto S. Valenzona. Its membership wsa made up of prominent prewar newspaper journalists and artists. Among other activities it published the underground newspaper Liberator which was distributed in Manila under the noses of the Japanese. The first issue came out in July 1944 and continued up to the liberation. No information is available regarding currency printed by the P.Q.O.G.
